Did you know that you can experience many foreign cultures without leaving Colorado Springs? Here is just a sample.

China – Contact: Mali Hsu at the Chinese Cultural Institute. Her e-mail is malihsu@aol.com. The website for the Chinese Cultural Institute is http://www.cscci.org/.  The Chinese Cultural Institue runs a Chinese language school here in Colorado Springs.

 Japan – The Japan-America Society of Southern Colorado is headed by Paul Maruyama. He can be reached at pmaruyama@earthlink.net. The website for the the Japan-America Society of Southern Colorado is http://jassc.org/

 The World – Contact: Colorado Springs World Affairs Council at 579-8443. Council members enjoy a series of monthly lunches where they can hear noted speakers address current world issues. The Council also sponsors an annual symposium for high school students and teachers.  The Colorado Springs World Affairs Council web site is www.csworldaffairs.org and you can e-mail the organization at cospwac@csworldaffairs.org.

The Colorado Springs committee for International Visitors works with the U.S. Department of State to bring carefully selected foreign visitors to this city.  Volunteers are always needed to accompany these visitors;  help with their professional schedules; and provide home hospitality.   If you are interested in participating contact the Office of International Affairs at 575-4314. 

The Friendship Force is a worldwide non-profit organization which promotes friendship and understanding by bringing people from all over the world together. Members of the Friendship Force of Southern Colorado have hosted international visitors and traveled throughout the world to uphold the organization's mission.

Colorado Springs Sister Cities, International  Contact Aida Richardson at aida@breckenridgegroup.com   This organization welcomes volunteers to help maintain our six Sister Cities' relationships.
